 | Peugeot Speedfight 2 100cc.Peugeot Speedfight 100cc. MOT to 01/07/12 and Tax to 30/06/12. 2001 Peugeot Speedfight 100cc. The bike has done 26000 KM but I replaced the engine about
2 years ago from another crashed bike. The status of this engine was unknown but if I recall correctly before fitting the mileage was about 22000 KM. In 2010 when the bike was MOT`d after being left for 18-20 months we spent £300 to get through the MOT. This included labour and the main issues were new headstock bearings, brake pads and new tyres. The bike is now beginning to show its age and I suspect that it will need a top-end rebuild as the top speed is not what is was and also the kickstart doesn`t work and it sounds like the ratchet inside has come loose as there is a rattle from it when ticking over. These are available on Ebay but we got an engine last time for £51 so we didn`t fix and now this one has broken. It seems to be a common issue on these bikes.This disappears when ridden/reved. Also the rearshock absorber, my stepson informs me, is leaking and I guess this would be an MOT fail. The rear brakes also need new pads/bleeding but it stops, starts and goes ok at the moment. The MOT runs out on 1/7/12 and the bike has tax until end of June. The general condition is OK as the photos show. The is some scrapeing and cracked panels on the RHS where my stepson came off in the snowny weather last year but is an easy fix if you`re ok with fibreglass and a spray can. in river, but recovered an hour later and pulled out. Lots of money spent on this with receipts to show, still tested till the end of June 2012, wasn`t recorded by insurance as stolen or anything as wasnt worth paying the excess or insurance rise next year. up until sometime in 2006, since which time it has been stood in the garage and has not been started since then. It is being sold as a non runner. I have tried to start it recently but it could not get it to start, the battery would not hold a charge and the fuel has been in the tank since 2006, so I would imagine it will need a new battery and the fuel changing at the very least. There is some damage to the body work as shown in the pictures, the grab handle and the rear light cluster were broken when the bike went right over, as in a wheelie can you believe. It also comes with two keys and hand book. than this one !!! 1998 R reg Honda FES 250cc Scooter. 24k and regularly serviced by elderly gentlemen before my ownership. He owned it for over 12 years and you can tell he really looked after it. Serviced and MOT`d two months ago + New battery I`ve just taxed the bike for a full 12 months as well :o) The bike rides absolutely sweet as a nut and keeps up with traffic at ease. Economy wise you easily get 100+mpg so if you want cheap commuting this is for you. Tyres are great. Exhaust is good. Brakes are spot on. There are NO issues with the bike whatsoever. These scooters are well sort after so dont go for the cheaper versions as you`ll definitely regret it in the long run. I fitted a brand new large top box (can easily be taken off if you wish) and will easily fit a laptop and change of clothes plus a pair of shoes. I used to use it as my work briefcase :o) I`m not in a rush to sell so I wont give it away. I challenge you to find a better scooter for your money. Located in Rugby (2mins from Jn1 of the M6).
