Ariel 3 Scooter BSA 50cc .1952 saw me selling programmes on the Silverstone Airfield and then watching green ERA`s red Maseratis and Alfas stuff the silver things and those white
monstrosities with their blue stripes. Then I`d leg it home and terrify the locals on my New Hudson !!. 57 saw me buy my first big bike, a cracking maroon Speed Twin. Must have been a gene hotspot there as my neighbour was Mick Hemmings and the gangs sage became the Norton king, Keith Manning. Although he was a bit of a ponse, he did national service with the RAF !! From there I spent my life crashing and rebuilding big Brit bikes, still do, but nowadays I break !!. en route I collected some oddballs, a Magic Wheel that I sold last week, a BSA Sunbeam scooter that`s on Ebay right now, a full-suspension Moulton, and of course an LE ... and this Ariel 3. How could you resist any of them !! This is the Ariel 3, launched with great aplomb in 1970 ( I still have a copy of the 12 noon June 11 Press Release, you are welcome to), just after the poor old Sinclair 3-wheeler, the C5. BSA had either picked another loser, or were before their time, as it didn`t succeed, although it bettered the C5.. by golly. I bought this Ariel 3 in 1994, ran it around the block a few times, smiled at it and promptly put it into store, where it has been ever since. Although comfortable in a dehumidified garage, it hasn`t been happy there, ignored beneath mighty Laverdas, Heskeths, MHRs and JPNs. It saw the Sundbeam dragged out last week and knows it`s ti X | £165.00 ![]()

BSA Dandy 1959 Classic Vintage Scooter 70cc Unfinished Project Runner.HiWelcome to my auction for this BSA Dandy 1959 Classic ScooterIt has been sitting in my garage for a couple of years now, itstarted as a project, but
hopefully this will go to someone withmore time on their hands.Ive spent countless hours removing old paint, rust treating,re paintingand re furbishing parts to get it to how it looks today.Mainly original parts have been used apart from the obvious like wiring. Was re wired from a Dandy Manual however there seems to be somethingmissing from the wiring e.g. a voltage regulator as when started all the bulbsblow. So Ive had to bypass the wiring to make it run. It`s probably about 75-80% finished but will need more parts to completelike a new exhaust, tyres, front brake cable, horn, battery, bulbs.I have had it running more than once and even ridden it, it doesn`t comewith a V5 so it will either have to be re registered or BSA Owners Clubcontacted to see if they can help to reclaim the registration..Any questions happy to answer...Thanks for looking.....BUYER COLLECTS FROM SCUNTHORPECASH ON COLLECTION PREFERREDOPEN TO SENSIBLE OFFERS**** Please Bid Early Because if it doesn`t reach a price I know it;s worth the day before the auction ends, I will end it myself***** X | £50.00 ![]()

BSA Sunbeam 250cc 4-stroke 2-cylinder Scooter.I`m a self-confessed big-bike nut, happiest when the cameras are forward facing ! My long life has been one of rebuilding Silk`s, Heskeths, SFC Laverdas,
MHR`s, JPN`s, Square Fours, T160`s, DBD34, RGS et al. en route I couldn`t resist a few oddities; Ariel 3, Moulton bike, Magic Wheel, LE, and this cracking scooter. Who indeed could resist a handsome twin 4-stroke designed by Edward Turner himself, well, clearly lots of you because these scooters were only in production for some 4 years. But they were fast and well built, and this one is testimony to the latter. I bought it in December 1993, it having just been MOT`d the previous month. I tootled around the village for a while then lathered it in Waxoyle and WD40 and stored it in my nice de-humidified garage ( Honest, better than our back bedroom ! ). There it remained until I dragged it out last week. I never worked on it, but previous people have I`m sure. Right now it is still in good-ish order, everything turns over, gears select and brakes/clutch work. There is no horrid rust other than the two brake/clucth levers, and the bottom left tang inside the battery box. To get it going you`ll need a battery, de-gunge the carb, and will have to wash out the cyclinders because I have a habit of soaking the bores in WD40 too. I can`t see there is anything else missing other than the rubber footwell mat. The photos are of good resolution so you can see for yourself what is good and bad. Wheels are fine, front one will need painting X | £590.00 ![]()
BSA Sunbeam 250cc 4stroke scooter 1960 Triumph barn find.MODS ON MARS !!!! MADE IN ENGLAND !!! | BSA Sunbeam 250cc 4 stroke scooter | This is a genuine barn find it runs and ride great, it had been stood since 1968 (last tax disc) I fitted a NOS
rear shock, new points and a header pipe, tires, cleaned out the fuel tank and she fired up and runs sweet... | I have the old log book and tax disks so registration as historic vehicle on origional number is strate forward.... | It has a nice patina as is but would be easy restoration. I`ve used it to ride around at a few shows and it has proved to be great fun and a real head turner. Being the four stroke model its actually quite quick and sounds cool sort of half bike half scoot. I`m open to sensible offers for a strate forward sale but I have loads of spares including a motor which will be included for asking price or are negotiable on offers. | Buyer to collect cash on collection or unless otherwise arranged. I may be able to arrange delivery depending on location. I can be contacted on 07971371394 after 5pm or at weekends... Thanks for looking. | PS.... If there`s mods on Mars they`d probably ride one of these!!!! | X | £1800.00 ![]()
