  | 1960 DOUGLAS VESPA.Great project or ride as a rat?So here we go again! Thanks to the muppets at the DVLC (you know who you are!) I had to pull this off e-bay before the auction could end. I now have a
shiny new V5 document that says exactly what it said before. So let me say again I bought this scooter in August 2010 and rode it all the way homes from St Neots in the worst rainstorm of the year. So much for an English summer. The idea was that I would get her painted and then begin enjoying her.( I`ve previously restored old British bikes and wanted to take on a new challenge. Unfortunately however a death in the family followed by a cancer scare have meant I have just not had the time to do anything with her and as such she`s been around the block a few times and otherwise has sat in my garage under a cover. The scooter is mechanically very sound as the previous owner fitted a new engine (the scooter is sold with it`s original engine of the buyer wants it) and sorted out all the relevant bits before selling. He rode it as a rat and it has been stripped to bare metal ready for a re-spray. The seat is an original Douglas seat. I believe due to the year of manufacture this would have been a Douglas 152L2 model which I`m told is equivalent to a Vespa VNA. The speedo doesn`t work and the front headlight is smashed sadly. The machine is currently not MOT`d and is tax exempt. I really wanted to bring this machine back to life and learn more about scooters in the process but time and circumstances have conspired against me.I could X | £1170.00  | |||||||
